What ages do you service?
Tiny Talkers specializes in servicing children birth-3 years old, preschool-aged children and elementary-middle school aged children. We also see clients up to 21-years-old.
What types of payment do you accept?
We currently accept private pay and are in the process of becoming a vendor with the Golden Gate Regional Center. We can provide you with a super-bill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement per your insurance plan. You may want to contact your insurance provider beforehand to get a better idea of your benefits and any out of pocket costs.
What does in-home speech therapy look like?
The therapist will bring all necessary materials and toys to your home, but may also use any toys or games at home that your child enjoys. A parent or guardian 18 years or older must be present in the home at all times. Parents are highly encouraged to join sessions and learn how they can support their child's communication, but I completely understand if you need to be doing something else in the home during our session. At the end of every session, we will have dedicated time to discuss what we worked on that day and strategies to implement into your daily routines.
How long are therapy sessions?
Therapy/coaching sessions are between 30-60 minutes in duration. Evaluations are typically 1-2 hours. Every child is different and therefore, minutes/frequency will be determined as we work together to create an individualized therapy plan that works best for you and your child.
Where are you located?
Tiny Talkers is located in San Francisco, CA. We provide in-home services to families in the Bay Area. We also service families located anywhere in CA via tele therapy.
Do I need a referral?
No referral needed! If you have one from your pediatrician, great, we can schedule an initial evaluation. If not, schedule a call and we can chat more about your concerns and decide if an evaluation is needed.
If your child has a recent speech and language evaluation and the information is still relevant and accurate, they may not need an additional evaluation with Tiny Talkers. We will ask to review the evaluation prior to creating their individualized therapy plan.
